Welcome toRye Community Primary School

Miss Fran Brassleay
Interim Headteacher
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Rye Community Primary School.

We are a warm, kind, friendly and inclusive school, where children feel happy and safe. Every child is known as an individual and their unique talents are recognised and celebrated.

Our mission is to make sure all our children can "Dream, Believe, Achieve.” We want our children to strive to be the best and to feel successful after every school day.

We are part of a family of two schools that serve the young people of Rye from two to sixteen years of age, enabling us to offer a consistent nursery, primary and secondary education. We are proud of our place at the centre of the community, serving local children and their families.

We teach our children to treat others how they would like to be treated through our Core Values: I RESPECT – Independence, Resilience, Effort, Smart, Partnership, Equality, Caring and Compassionate and Truthful. These values help ensure that our children become well-rounded citizens who will go on to make a positive contribution to society.

We continue to build on our success each year, never standing still and always looking for what will make a positive difference for our children. Our curriculum reflects the needs of our learners. We focus on the key knowledge, skills, understanding and vocabulary the children will need in each subject, building on the previous year’s learning as they move through the school.

The school prides itself on building a strong partnership between home and school - recognising the importance of the child's family in their progress and development. We are always here to listen and talk.

We look forward to leading Rye Community Primary School into the future and invite you to see for yourselves what we have to offer.

At Aquinas, we work together so that our learners have an exceptional education; one where individuality is celebrated, talents are nurtured and progress is sustained from early years to Post 16.

Established in 2013, the Trust was founded as a natural development of positive relationships built between neighbouring Church of England schools; initially in the Bromley area. In November 2018, we added two community schools to our family, Rye College and Rye Community Primary School in East Sussex.
